House Design on Mountain Located at the Pyrenees by Cadaval & Sola-Morales

This owner wants his house located in the mountains, a former agriculture, the Spanish Pyrenees. This unique house belonging to a window on one side and windows overlooking the valley high in the spire affording views up the mountain. An architect named Cadaval & Sola-Morales, with the aim to turn into a comfortable second place, and utilitarian. By maintaining the original structure and to intervene but the contrast is minimal, the idea is to generate new and contemporary spaces for life, respect the historic envelope. Roof units built on sustainable elements to focus light sculpture, a neutral view, lighting, and views, while for the lower level was opened wide with off-scale. Vernacular architecture with respect not only the envelope, but also construction, operation logic and aesthetics, thus strengthening the values of the history of vernacular architecture of the house to create a sustainable house in the Pyrenees two extreme climate.
